ENCOUNTERING GOD
By knowing God, we change on a deep level. This transformation is not based on willpower, extraordinary human abilities, or sharp intellect. Statistically, only 5% of participants in any personal development training achieve results. However, the Bible says that even an inexperienced person will not go astray. Why is the Gospel also called the Good News? Imagine that you owe such a large debt that, even if you worked your entire life and your children and grandchildren worked as well, you would never be able to pay it off. And then, one day, you receive a letter stating that someone wants to pay off your debt. Moreover, the most sought-after coach, whose wisdom and financial state are extraordinary, wants to become your mentor and later include you in their inheritance — you and everyone who believes in them and opens their heart to their friendship and mentorship. What would you call such an offer? You’d probably call it not just good news, but the most amazing news. But you know, God did even more for us! Each of us has committed at least one, and most likely many, transgressions — and not just out of error or sin. Our world was literally sold to sin, and believe me, we should have eventually paid the price for it. But God loved us so much that, knowing our “debt,” He sent His Son into our world, and He paid our enormous debt. But even more, the Son gave us free access to the Father and the opportunity to become His children and heirs.
I am always amazed when I look at a butterfly. Almost everyone admires butterflies, and what's interesting is that just a few months ago, someone would have screamed in fear at the sight of the same living creature — the caterpillar. Few would have wished for this caterpillar to land on their hair, yet when a butterfly lands on someone, everyone is happy and takes pictures. You know, this speaks to me on so many levels. I believe that every person must go through a process of metamorphosis in their life, sometimes more than once. When it feels like you are alone, and people turn away from you or seem uninterested in connecting, it doesn’t mean you should start blaming everyone around you and become bitter and resentful. No. Perhaps it’s a sign that you are on the verge of a metamorphosis. And when that season comes, it’s a special season. It’s when the caterpillar wraps itself tightly in its cocoon, and it’s just you and God.
The best investment is in people’s lives. Very often, it may seem that people are ungrateful and quickly forget the good things we've done for them, sometimes sacrificing a lot. But you know, perhaps our help, kind words, or messages have planted a small, almost invisible seed in their hearts. At that moment, it didn’t bear the desired fruit, but maybe many years later, when the soil of that person’s heart becomes soft and fertile, that good seed will begin to sprout. The most incredible news is that when we invest in a person’s life, we are investing in eternity, because the soul of a person, which is the person themselves, does not die. And even more, God has a great reward for those who did not receive their reward on earth for their labor in His name.
